Support Us

Introduction

We seek the support of the community so that we can provide services to the community. Much of what we achieve is supported by people by donating their time, donating money, donating unwanting gifts, or their expertise. Without this support our job would be impossible to achieve. Year on year with the help that we get from our donors and supporters we are providing transportation to more people within the community. We thank you for your support.

There are many ways you can continue to help us, and we always welcome new supporters. Below are introductions to different ways of supporting us ranging from donating funds to providing your time.

Servicing £525
MOT £60
Set of Tyres £500
Tail Lift Service £300
Full tank of fuel £100
  £1485

Adopt a Minibus

The “Adopt a hard working minibus” proposal is for the adopter or adopters to cover, or at least contribute significantly to, the following estimated annual costs of service and maintenance for one of our fleet of 9 CDAR minibuses.

For a major adopter, the adopted bus could have the logo/message from the adoptee on the minibus, in acknowledgement. Cost of their livery on the minibus: £100.

Any adopters will receive updates on how their bus is doing!

Fundraising

Every year, we  help  over 350 individuals and groups to travel on around 12,000 trips covering over 90,000 miles. We could not do that without your help and support

The Chilterns Dial-a-Ride is a charitable Community Benefit Society. We aim to cover our operations and capital costs through the revenues that we raise through the provision of our services and from grants from local authorities and other bodies. Often this is not enough, so we also seek support from the public in order to help us to maintain and improve our service.

Currently we support over 350 individuals a year, helping them to get to hospitals and other medical appointments. We also provide days out for groups and individuals to help those that have restricted access to transport to get away for the day, often with their carers.

There are many ways you can help us by donating funds or unwanted goods to our organisation. We can also recover gift aid based on financial donations. You could also make a bequest in a will to the benefit of The Chilterns Dial-a-Ride. To learn more about the ways in which you can help us please follow the fundraising link below.

It offers you a chance to become involved in a project or with an organisation you really care about as well as an opportunity to meet new and like-minded people. It also gives you the chance to try out something different to your ‘everyday’ job, which may lead on to new career options.

We are seeking volunteers for the following positions:

  • Volunteer Drivers
