More Volunteer Drivers needed!

With demand from you our users steadily increasing, our dedicated team of drivers is fully stretched. We need more drivers and maybe you can help us find them!  If you can think of someone who can spare some time to be a volunteer driver, do let us know!

Annual Membership Fees

The Annual Membership Fee of £18 is due by 1st April.

An application form is enclosed for you to complete and return with payment so you can continue to use us. Please tick if Gift Aid applies so CDAR can get a 25% increase in your subscription from the HMRC.

If you would like to make a donation to the Chilterns Dial-a-Ride please enclose it with your subscription.

There will be no increase in fares this April. The following rules still apply:

Cancellations: A full fare will be charged for a booking cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice

Invoiced fares: There’ll be a £2 surcharge to cover the cost of sending an invoice

To help us keep running a great service, we would be grateful if you could complete our survey (enclosed). Your reply will be treated in confidence. You can send it back anonymously if you wish.

Please download a survey here: CDAR Survey

Each newsletter, we have been sending out a list of excursions. These have not been well supported over the last year, so we will not be sending out a list, But if you and some friends or a group in which you attend would like to go on an outing please contact the office.

Here is information regarding the weekend trips we do to the Isle of Wight.

Weekend Trips to the Isle of Wight

One of our volunteer drivers – Paul Binsted – organises weekend trips to the Isle of Wight. You stay at the Warner Leisure Hotel in Bembridge.

The hotel was once owned by George V’s Lord in Waiting, and the late Queen Mother came here to watch the yachts racing during Cowes Week.  It overlooks the Solent and has a wonderful beach.

There are facilities for swimming and walking by the sea together with other daily leisure attractions and evening entertainment.

You will be picked up from you home address early Friday morning and driven to the hotel and returned to your home address Monday afternoon.

The weekend away includes:

  • Your travel and ferry
  • Your hotel room
  • Breakfast and Dinner – with selection of choices
  • Use of hotel facilities including swimming pool
  • Day trip out
  • Evening entertainment for the 3 nights

There are wheelchair accessible rooms available subject to availability.

There is no chaperone on these trips therefore you must be able to manage your own personal care – or alternatively you can take a carer with you at an additional cost.

Please contact the office on 01494 766123 to register you interest and we will get Paul to contact you directly to discuss.

We have recently been updating our website to make it easier to use, please visit www.chiltern-dial-a-ride.net to have a look.
